HELLO SELMA

Wie ihr wisst lebe ich dann doch manchmal nach dem Motto "Besser spät als nie" und deshalb kommt der bereits im März versprochene Post heute. Im letzten Monat war sehr viel los: Kurze Erholungspause von der Uni im Urlaub, ein neues Semester mit neuen Prüfungen, die ein oder andere Feier zu meinem Geburtstag und schließlich der Umzug meiner besten Freundin nach England für 6 Monate. 

Jetzt wollte ich mich aber doch wieder einmal zurückmelden und euch meinen neuen Liebling vorstellen. Die Michael Kors Selma durfte an meinem Geburtstag bei mir einziehen. Gefunden habe ich sie im Wien Urlaub Anfang März im Steffl - District 5. In dieser Ausführung hatte ich sie vorher noch gar nicht gesehen, fand sie aber wahnsinnig schön und konnte es kaum erwarten sie Ende März dann endlich ausführen zu können :-) 

As you might now I often live like "better late than never". That's why the post originally planned for march is going online today. In the past month I had a lot of things going on in my life: A short holiday from university, the new beginning of the next semester with new exams, one or another party for my birthday and last but not least my best friend moving to England to live there for the next six months. 

Today I felt like I haven't talked to you for ages (which is actually true I guess) so I just had to give you a little sign of life. In this post it's all about my new big love: The Michael Kors Selma. The best birthday present of all time. Not because I'm a designer bag freak, but because I wanted to have it for years now and finally my mum made this dream come true. I found it/her at Steffl Department Store - District 5 during my last holiday in Vienna. I've never seen this model before, but I loved it and couldn't help but count the days until I could finally carry it around with me :-)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

Wenn ihr das lest befinde ich mich schon in höchster Feierlaune auf einer meiner vielen Stationen für den morgigen Tag. Ja, es ist mal wieder so weit: Ich habe Geburtstag. 20 Jahre jung und immer noch absolut fabelhaft. Ich weiß, Samantha aus Sex and the City sagt das als sie 50 wird aber ich dachte das ziehe ich schon einmal vor.

Ein Tag voller Unternehmungen mit der Familie und mit Freunden steht mir bevor und ich freue mich wie jedes Jahr schon wahnsinnig darauf. Mein Geburtstagsgeschenk durfte ich mir im Voraus schon aussuchen, allerdings werdet ihr es wohl erst morgen sehen. So viel kann ich aber schon mal sagen: Mir wurde einer meiner langjährigen materiellen Wünsche erfüllt und ich freue mich so so sehr darüber! 

Je nachdem wie actionreich der Tag werden wird werden entweder viele oder wenige Fotos entstehen, aber ein paar Schnappschüsse mit der Handykamera sollten schon drin sein um euch auch an diesem Tag teilhaben zu lassen. 

Wie auch vor zwei Jahren schon wird es dieses Jahr wieder ein Vergleichsfoto geben. Ich vor etwa einem Jahr (in diesem Fall sind es 1,5 Jahre) und von heute (bzw. vor einer Woche). So viel wie beim letzten Mal hat sich zwar nicht, aber es ist doch einen Post wert :-) 

Natürlich wünsche ich euch auch einen wundervollen Tag und wenn ihr einen Grund zum Feiern sucht, dann feiert doch einfach ein bisschen meinen Geburtstag mit :-) Hiermit wieder einmal ein riesengroßes DANKE an meine treuen Leser. Ihr seid die Besten. Ich lese jeden Kommentar und freue mich immer wie ein kleines Kind, wenn ich sehe dass euch meine Einträge gefallen. Danke <3 

When you're reading this I'm probably already in the middle of partying. Yes, you're right, it's time again. Time for MY BIRTHDAY. I feel like a little kid (or like Lilly in How I met your mother) when it comes to birthdays. I know it can be stressful to meet all your beloved ones and not forgetting anyone, but I really enjoy this day of the year. 

Today I will reach my 20s. 20 and fabulous. I know Samantha from Sex and the City said it's "50 and fabulous", but as you know me, I couldn't wait for that. 

Lunch with my grandma, dinner with my parents, cocktails and party with my friends - that's all my day is about and I can't wait to start it. What I got for my birthday will be on the blog in about one or two days, just so you can become a little more curious about it ;) No, just kidding. I guess I won't be able to crawl out of bed before noon on friday and then there's another birthday lunch so that's the reason. All I can say is that the present I chose is on my wishlist for so long now and I can't wait to finally hold it in my hands!

As you can see above, I did the "before and after"-thing again. Me in 2013 and me in 2014. This time I cannot see a huge difference, but I simply like those pictures and I thought my birthday was the perfect day to show them together. 

I hope you will also spend an amazing day. If you're looking for a reason to party, just celebrate with me :) In the end I just wanted to say THANK YOU again for reading my blog for such a long time now and for being so patient with me and my not appearing blogposts and so on. You really are the best! I read every comment and I really freak out like a little kid if some of you actually like what I'm writing or wearing. Thank you so so much <3

Time is passing by so quickly

Ich erinnere mich noch an die Zeit, als ich mir über 200 Tage bis zu meinem Geburtstag ausgerechnet habe. Jetzt ist es gerade einmal nur noch eine Woche! Eigentlich ist es verrückt: Manchmal vergeht die Zeit unglaublich schnell und wenn man auf etwas bestimmtes wartet widerrum unglaublich langsam. 

Jetzt bin ich auf jeden Fall nur noch 7 Tage von dem lang ersehnten Tag meines 18. Geburtstages entfernt und habe mir für heute überlegt euch meine Wünsche (oder auch schon sicheren Geschenke) zu zeigen :-) 

[I remember the time when I said to myself there are still over 200 days left until my birthday. Now, it is only one week! Somehow, it is crazy: Sometimes time is passing by so quickly and when you're waiting for something special it takes so long. Now, I'm only 7 days ahead until this special day of my 18th birthday is finally here, so I have thought about showing you my wishes (or even presents, I know I will get)]

Zu einem großen Geburtstag gehört natürlich auch eine große Party. Viele meiner Freunde haben in einem sehr schönen Penthouse eines Restaurants/einer Bar in Nürnberg gefeiert. Mir persönlich hat es dort auch so gut gefallen, dass ich dort auch feiern wollte. Zusammen mit einem Freund feiere ich dort also meinen 18. Geburtstag, was mir meine Eltern (zumindest zum Teil) schenken, damit ich nicht alles aus eigener Tasche bezahlen muss. 

[On a big birthday, there has to be a big party. Many of my friends were celebrating their birthday in a very beautiful penthouse above a restaurant/bar in Nuremberg. I personally loved it there, so I decided to celebrate my birthday there as well. Together with a friend I rented the penthouse for an evening and a night for what my parents gave me the money (or even a part of it), so I don't have to pay it for myself.]

Das Geschenk, worauf ich mich am Meisten freue wird mein kleines Auto (ein Smart for two, allerdings in dunkelgrün und nicht in der Farbe auf dem Foto ;D) sein. Jetzt habe ich seit über einem Jahr meinen Führerschein (ich habe ihn schon ein paar Wochen vor meinem 17. Geburtstag gemacht) und darf bald endlich alleine fahren. 
Viele sagen über den Smart immer er wäre zu langsam oder zu klein. Ich finde für Fahranfänger ist er perfekt. Man kann sich nicht zu sehr mit der Geschwindigkeit überschätzen und Ablenkungen durch ein Auto mit vielen Leuten darin gibt es auch nicht. Das Auto hat auch vorher schon meinen Eltern gehört, das heißt ich übernehme es nur, freue mich aber schon sehr darauf :-) 

[The present I'm looking forward to the most will be my lovely little car (a smart for two, but in dark green, not in the glitter color in the photo :D). I have my driving licence for over a year now (I did it even a few weeks before my 17th birthday) and I'm allowed to drive without my parents very soon. Many people think that the Smart is too slow or too small. I think for young persons, even if they haven't got their licence for so long, it is perfect. You can't overestimate the speed too much and there is a less risk of avocation because of a full car. The car belonged to my parents before, so I won't get a whole new car, but I'm so looking forward to it anyway :-)]

 

Das waren auch schon die Geschenke, die ich bekomme. Mehr als genug finde ich! 

Für mich selbst habe ich mir vorgenommen ab meinem Geburtstag auf zwei Dinge zu sparen. Einmal ist das eine Spiegelreflexkamera von Canon. Ich bin noch auf der Suche nach der Richtigen (Tipps nehme ich gerne an :-)). Im Moment fotografiere ich für den Blog noch mit meiner Digitalkamera. Dank Gimp und anderen Bearbeitungsprogrammen werden die Bilder schon meist ganz gut, aber ich hoffe, dass ich bald auf eine bessere Kamera umsteigen und euch noch bessere Fotos zeigen kann. 

[These were the presents I will get. More than enough, I think! For myself, I thought about saving my money for two things I'd love to have. First this would be the SLR camera from Canon. I'm still looking for the perfect one (I take advices, too :-)). At the moment, I'm taking my photos with my digital camera. Thanks to Gimp and other image editing programs the pictures become good as well, but I hope I will be able to use a better camera to show you better photos.]

Die zweite Sache auf die ich selbst spare ist ein iPad. Wahrscheinlich nehme ich das zweite, und nicht das ganz neue, da es für meinen Gebrauch wahrscheinlich völlig ausreicht. 
Bald gehe ich zur Uni und habe schon von mehreren meiner studierenden Freunde gehört, dass das iPad sehr praktisch und vor allem ja auch viel leichter als ein Laptop ist. 
Wann ich mir das leisten kann steht noch in den Sternen, aber ich bin froh endlich auch mal einen Ansporn dafür zu haben auf einen (bzw zwei) großen Wunsch von mir zu sparen. 

[The second thing I'm saving my money for is an iPad. Probably, I will take the iPad 2 and not the new one, because it is completly enough for my use. Soon I will go to university and I have heard from many of my studying friends, that the iPad is very practical and of course way lighter than a laptop. The time when I can afford these things is still written in the stars, but I'm happy to have one (or two) special aim(s) in front of me to save my money for.]

Wie ihr seht habe ich mir viel vorgenommen für meinen 18. Geburtstag und das Jahr danach. Dass alles sehr kostspielig wird weiß ich, aber ich denke das ist gut für mich, damit ich jetzt langsam anfange richtig zu lernen wie ich mein Geld gut einteile damit ich über die Runden komme. 
Jetzt werde ich aber erstmal wieder gesund, damit ich auch etwas von meinem Geburtstag habe und diesen nicht mit unzähligen Päckchen Taschentüchern als meinen Begleiter feiern muss :-) 

[As you can see I resolved a lot of things for my 18th birthday and the year afterwards. It will be very expensive, I know, but I think this will be good for my to finally learn how to arrange my money. 
For now I concentrate on becoming healthy again, so I can enjoy my birthday and do not have to take my tissues with me on my party :-)]
