THE HISTORY OF FASHION

Die Wienerinnen unter euch werden wahrscheinlich schon wissen worum es in diesem Post geht, wenn sie sich nur das erste Bild ansehen. Im Museumsquartier wurde am letzten Mittwoch eine unglaublich sehenswerte Modenschau mit dem Titel "The history of fashion" inszeniert. Der Name war Programm: Es fing bei Adam und Eva an (siehe Bild oben) und ging weiter bis hin zur aktuellen A/W-Kollektion einer aktuellen Designerin (Liebe Leser, wenn jemand von euch noch weiß wie sie hieß, dann sagt mir bitte bitte Bescheid!!). Meine Bilder sind allerdings ausschließlich von der Mode aus den Jahrhunderten vor uns. Ich finde diese Mode einfach viel beeindruckender als diese, die ich sowieso jeden Tag auf der Straße sehe. Also lasst euch verzaubern von meinen einigen wenigen Bildern dieses wunderschönen Events. 

Those of you, who are from vienna may know what I will talk about in todays post when you only look at the first picture. In viennas "Museumsquartier" there was a fashionshow last wednesday with the title "The history of fashion". There were no (or at least not so many) professional models, but the people up on the runway did their job so great as well. It's all in the name: It began with Adam and Eva (first picture above the text) and went on until we arrived the 21st century with the A/W-collection 2012/13 from a gorgeous designer of vienna. I made some pictures, but only of the fashion from the last past centuries, because I think I don't have to shoot outfit pictures like these you all see on the streets every single day. Get enchanted by these few but lovely (at least the outfits are lovely!) pictures of this gorgeous fashion show.

VIENNA DAY 1

Wie versprochen gibt es heute die Fotos vom ersten Tag in Wien. Da wir erst relativ spät am Nachmittag ankamen hat die Zeit nur noch für eine kurze Schlenderei durch die Stadt rund um den Stephansdom und einen kleinen Abstecher in unser liebstes Segafredocafé mit Croissants und Hugo gereicht. Zum Abendessen ging es zum Naschmarkt. Das ist ein Markt mit vielen verschiedenen kleinen Restaurants und Bistros. Ich war gestern zum ersten Mal dort, fand es aber gleich richtig schön. Wir hatten ein leckeres thailändisches Essen (worauf man auch nicht stundenlang warten musste) und beendeten schließlich den Tag mit einem Spaziergang durch die nächtlich beleuchtete Stadt. Ich bin einfach jedes Mal wieder fasziniert, wenn ich Wien wieder besuche. Jeder der es nicht schon kennt, sollte sich unbedingt einmal selbst davon überzeugen. 

As I promised yesterday: Here are the photos of my first day in vienna. We arrived late yesterday afternoon, so we only had time for ambling through the inner city a little bit and have croissants and hugo at our favourite Segafredo coffee shop. For dinner we went to "Naschmarkt". It's a marked with many little restaurants, bistros and coffee shops. I was there for the first time yesterday and I really liked it a lot. We had a delicious thai food (and you didn't even have to wait for it for hours) and finally ended our first-day-programm with a walk through the nightly lighted city. I'm fascinated all the time when I come to vienna again. Everyone who hasn't seen it already should definitly take some time and book trip to this amazing city. You won't regret it, I promise!
