THE BEST (BLOGGER) BOOK ON EARTH or LEANDRA MEDINE'S "MAN REPELLER"

Ich gehöre definitiv zu der Sorte von Leuten, die absolut süchtig nach Blogs ist,  gerne einmal vier Stunden hinter dem Laptop verbringt und der aber bereits nach einer halben Stunde lesen in einem Buch langweilig wird. Viele verschiedene Genres habe ich ausprobiert und meist nach der Hälfte wieder weggelegt. Die Bücher, die mich in den letzten Monaten begeistern konnten, war die "Shades of Grey"-Triologie. Nachdem es mir aber zu langweilig wurde alles doppelt und dreifach zu lesen beschloss ich mich nach einem neuen Buch umzuschauen. 

Genau zu der Zeit gab Leandra Medine die Veröffentlichung ihres ersten Buches Man Repeller zu ihrem gleichnamigen Blog bekannt. 

Also kurzerhand amazon.de geöffnet und vorbestellt, damit ich auch ja eine der ersten bin die das gute Stück in der Hand halten. Das letzte Mal so gefreut auf ein Amazon-Paket habe ich mich glaube ich als die erste "Sex and the City" DVD rauskam. 

Für Nicht-Muttersprachler schreibt Leandra meiner Meinung nach von Zeit zu Zeit schon etwas kompliziert, trotzdem hatte ich keine großen Verständnisprobleme während dem Lesen. 

Sie beschreibt wichtige Stationen aus ihrem bisherigen Leben und gegen Ende bekommt man sogar mit wie sie auf die Idee gekommen ist einen Blog zu schreiben, was ich persönlich immer total interessant finde. 

Zu viel verraten möchte ich euch nicht, allerdings noch einen Fakt für alle hoffnungslosen Romantiker da draußen: Auch die selbst ernannten Man Repeller haben die Chance auf die ganz große Liebe. Das hat mir Leandra Medine definitiv gelehrt.

I'm definitely one of the girls who are completely obsessed with reading blogs for days and hours. But when it comes to actually reading a book I normally can't concentrate on the story for more than thirty minutes. I tried out many different genres and mostly put the books away when I was only halfway through it. The only books who got my whole attention was the "fifty shades of grey"-triology a few months ago. When I finished them I was desperate to find something that was similar to them (maybe also kind of a "normal" story, I would be fine with that). 

That's when Leandra Medine spread the word about the launch of her very first book "Man Repeller" inspired by her blog. And I was hooked. Not very Christian Grey like but also not less exciting. 

The second I read those amazing news I logged into my amazon.com account to be one of the first people to get their hands on this book. 

Now that English is not my mother language her way of writing was a bit difficult to understand from time to time, but that didn't matter. I simply LOVED everything about this book. 

When reading it you feel like you're following her through many important situation of her life and even how she had the idea of starting a blog. Like I already said, I loved it. 

I don't want to spoiler you, but just a few words to finish my post. A very important fact for all the hopeless romantics of my readers: Even a self-called man repeller can find true love, so don't give up! Maybe even for me it was the most important lesson Leandra Medine could have taught me.
